Higher education marketing conferences are how professionals explore new trends with new colleagues throughout the year.

In 2024 higher ed marketing agency Paskill will sponsor three major industry conferences attracting thousands of attendees looking to improve brand and enrollment at their college or university.

CUPRAP, Lancaster, PA, March 13-15

The CUPRAP spring professional development conference themed “Addressing the Future – Together,” offers a forum for marketing and communications teams to evolve their practices and networks.

Paskill sponsored its Friday, March 15 keynote discussion, “Tomorrow’s Narratives: Leveraging AI in Storytelling and Student Search for Higher Education.”

Senior Digital Art Director Zac McGroarty, a CUPRAP board member, introduced the panel. McGroarty also serves as an AI Pioneer, an agency cohort of marketing professionals building dialogue on best practices for AI innovation and implementation.

“The most popular presentations at CUPRAP showcased cutting-edge AI technology tailored for higher education marketing,” says McGroarty. “I was shocked at how many institutions are using AI tools even if in the very early process. There is a real opportunity for agency partners to demystify what’s possible for colleges and universities in the AI products, services and guidance we can offer.”

eduWeb Summit, Philadelphia, PA, July 9-11

In July, Executive Creative Director Mary Pedersen delivered a keynote at the eduWeb Summit in Philadelphia. Titled, “Creativity Through AI in Higher Education Marketing,” the 60-minute keynote addressed ethics and the ability to deliver results in an increasingly demanding competitive space.

Pedersen, who oversees over 25 creatives, drew on perspectives of pioneering a marketing agency’s AI team, encouraging attendees to consider embracing ambiguity in an ever-changing digital landscape to keep university brands fresh.

In November, Paskill will return to the American Marketing Association’s Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education to exhibit as a partner agency and lead a roundtable discussion on targeted recruitment strategies.

AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education, Las Vegas, NV, November 10-13

The 2024 AMA conference will build on last year’s success as the highest-attended event in the organization’s history. Paskill continues to grow industry dialogue through the podcast Innovating Enrollment Success as well as sharing insights at conferences like AMA.

According to Jim Paskill, who presented at AMA with client partner the United States Coast Guard Academy on diversifying enrollments, higher education conferences represent the community and collaboration that is core to the enrollment marketing industry.

“During a time of transformation, sharing what’s working and what’s ahead is key to providing our partner institutions with the guidance and strategies needed to thrive,” he says.

“While we may compete for students, coming together to provide a positive narrative for the value of higher education altogether is crucial for all of our student outcomes.”
