Strong Support for Community College Marketing Conference
Texas hospitality combined with the usual community college friendliness made the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) annual conference in San Antonio, Texas a true feel good networking event.
As a marketing firm with decades of experience growing the enrollments for community colleges nationwide, PS&L is a strong supporter of NCMPR and its annual national conference. Community colleges are core to PS&L partnerships of more than 500 colleges and universities since 1986.
Business Development Manager Janet Sieff had the pleasure of meeting many new colleagues under the Live Oaks at the Hill Country Hyatt.
According to Sieff, conversations at the conference were about how crucial recruiting is on community college campuses.
Major conference themes included visual storytelling by way of video as a successful and necessary tactic to recruit, engage, and retain community college students.
“The most moving keynote was, ‘No Greater Odds: The Power of Narrative in Telling the Community College Story,'” she says of the Emmy-nominated documentary produced and presented by James McCoy and Charlene Gibson from the College of Southern Nevada.
“Community college marketing continues to improve and evolve,” adds Sieff. “NCMPR is a positive, extremely organized force that recognizes achievement by students as well as the on-campus staffers making an impact on enrollment and retention.”
